The Connected Business Microsoft 365 · Nedlands, Perth

You’re paying for Microsoft 365. Most of it is switched off.

The average Perth business uses Outlook for email and Teams for the occasional video call. The automation, the document management, the AI, the real-time collaboration — paid for, unused, sitting in the same licence.

We configure Microsoft 365 around how your business actually works, then train your team to use it.

What you have vs what you’re using

Most businesses are using Microsoft 365 like it’s 2005 Office

Microsoft 365 isn’t a software package you install. It’s a platform you configure. The difference between what most businesses use and what they have access to is significant.

What most businesses use

  • Outlook for email
  • Teams for video calls
  • OneDrive as a USB drive in the cloud
  • Excel to build reports from scratch
  • Email threads for approvals
  • Files named final_v3_FINAL_USE THIS.xlsx

What your licence includes

  • Copilot AI across every app
  • SharePoint for structured document management
  • Power Automate for no-code workflow automation
  • Teams Channels as persistent project workspaces
  • Planner for task and project tracking
  • Power BI for live management dashboards
  • Intune for device and security management

The question isn’t whether to buy Microsoft 365. You already have it. The question is whether it’s working for you.

What’s in the suite

The full Microsoft 365 picture

Nine tools. Most businesses actively use two or three. Here’s what each one does when it’s properly configured.

Outlook + Exchange Email & Calendar

Shared calendars, room and resource booking, contact lists, rules that route and flag automatically. Most teams configure it at setup and never touch it again — leaving shared mailboxes, distribution lists and email automations unused.

Microsoft Teams Communication Hub

Channels replace project email threads. Files live in the channel, not in someone’s inbox. Meeting notes are auto-generated. A properly structured Teams environment reduces internal email by 60–80% in most businesses.

SharePoint + OneDrive Document Management

Structured document libraries with permissions, version history, co-authoring and search. The difference between “it’s in the shared drive somewhere” and knowing exactly where every document is, who changed it last and what the previous version said.

Microsoft 365 Apps Word · Excel · PowerPoint

The apps your team already knows, with cloud sync, real-time co-authoring, version history and Copilot drafting built in. No more emailed attachments, no more who has the current version, no more overwritten files.

Planner + To Do Tasks & Projects

Task boards, due dates, assignments and checklists built directly into Teams. For most small and growing businesses this replaces the need for a separate project management subscription.

Power Automate Workflow Automation

Connect Microsoft tools to each other — and to Xero, SharePoint, HR platforms, CRMs and more. Route approvals, trigger notifications, move data and automate repetitive processes without code. This is where the real time saving happens.

Copilot for Microsoft 365 AI Across the Suite

Summarises emails, recaps meetings you missed, drafts documents and presentations, analyses spreadsheets and searches your files in plain English. Works across Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel and PowerPoint — using your own business data as context.

Power BI Business Intelligence

Live dashboards pulling from Xero, your CRM, HR tools and operational data. Management reporting that updates automatically rather than being rebuilt in Excel each month.

Microsoft Intune Device & Security

Manage devices, enforce security policies, control access to business data and wipe a device remotely if someone leaves. Relevant for any business where staff use personal phones for work email or access client data on mobile.

The two most underused tools

SharePoint and Teams, done properly

These two tools account for most of the wasted value in a Microsoft 365 licence. Most businesses use OneDrive as a basic file backup and Teams for meetings. The actual capability is an order of magnitude beyond that.

SharePoint: your document management system

SharePoint is not a cloud hard drive. It’s a structured document management system with permissions, version control, workflows, search and metadata — that most businesses treat as a folder of folders.

Done properly, SharePoint gives you:

  • A single source of truth for every document in your business
  • Version history so you can recover any previous version of any file
  • Granular permissions so the right people see the right documents
  • Metadata so you can find documents by client, matter, date or type — not by where you saved them
  • Automated retention and archiving for compliance
  • An intranet if you need one — news, policies, org charts, team pages

Teams: a communication hub, not a video call app

Teams meetings are about 10% of what Teams does. The rest is channels — persistent workspaces where your team’s files, tasks, notes and conversations live in one place rather than scattered across email threads.

Done properly, Teams gives you:

  • Channels for every project, client or business function — with all related files and conversations in one place
  • Meeting notes and action items auto-generated by Copilot
  • Shared task boards so everyone can see what’s in progress
  • Approval flows that run inside Teams — no separate email thread required
  • Notifications from Xero, HR tools and other systems in the channels where your team works
  • Significantly less internal email
Automation and AI

Power Automate and Copilot: the two capabilities most businesses haven’t touched

Both are included in most Microsoft 365 Business licences. Both require configuration to work. Neither activates itself.

Power Automate

A no-code workflow tool that connects Microsoft apps to each other — and to hundreds of external services including Xero, Salesforce, HubSpot, Employment Hero and more.

What it can do for your business:

  • Route purchase requests and leave approvals automatically
  • Send Teams notifications when an invoice is overdue in Xero
  • File documents in SharePoint when they’re approved
  • Trigger onboarding checklists when a new employee is added to HR
  • Generate and distribute reports on a schedule
  • Move data between systems without re-entry

Copilot for Microsoft 365

AI built into every Microsoft 365 app, using your own documents, emails and data as context. Not a generic chatbot — a tool that knows your business.

What it actually does:

  • Summarise a 40-email thread in three sentences
  • Draft a proposal or report from your brief and your previous documents
  • Recap a Teams meeting and list the action items with owners
  • Analyse an Excel spreadsheet and answer questions about it in plain English
  • Build a PowerPoint from a Word document
  • Find any document or conversation across your whole M365 environment
Who this is for

Right for you if…

You’re already on Microsoft 365

You’re paying for it, your team uses email and maybe Teams, but no one has ever properly configured SharePoint, set up automation or activated Copilot.

You’re moving from Google Workspace

Your business is migrating to Microsoft 365 and you want the transition done properly — email, files, calendar, contacts and structure — not just the bare minimum to get running.

You’re setting up a new business

You want Microsoft 365 built right from the start: the right licence, the right structure, SharePoint designed before you’ve accumulated years of files in the wrong places.

We don’t replace your IT provider. We’re the business configuration layer they don’t cover: the SharePoint structure, the automation workflows, the Copilot training, and the integration between your Microsoft tools and your accounting platform.

Start with a Microsoft 365 audit.

We review your current M365 setup, identify what’s unused and give you a prioritised list of what to configure first — based on your business, not a generic checklist.
