Atramentum (at-rah-men-tum) was founded in 2010 by Michael Jones who had a core belief that every individual deserves to be well-informed and empowered when making business and tax decisions, all while experiencing exceptional customer service.

From that simple, yet powerful belief, Atramentum has grown to focus on individuals, family groups and small to medium sized owner-operator businesses, offering end-to-end services in consulting, strategy, accounting, bookkeeping, payroll, and taxation. And support for all your personal taxation needs as well.

Atramentum has been based in the western suburbs since 2010 and is a local accounting services firm that specialises in working with small-medium businesses. Based in Nedlands they have a wide geographical reach, assisting businesses of all sizes and industries in improving their effectiveness, efficiency, and profitability.

With a real interest in people and a love for numbers, Michael has had a long and diverse career where he has actually owned businesses and been in all sorts of managerial and executive roles in aged care, oil & gas, finance, taxation & business services, and even hospitality, arts, and education. And it doesn't matter if your business is private, public, or not-for-profit, – Michael has sat on number of not-for-profit and for-profit Boards and held a number of C-Suite positions in a number of business sectors.

With over 30 years of experience in corporate finance and accounting, this means he really knows how various businesses work from the inside out. His professional and technical expertise is evident; he is a Chartered Accountant, Associate member of the Tax Insitute, a registered ASIC agent and registered tax agent.

But don't let the numbers fool you; he's not just about spreadsheets. Michael also has over 18 years of experience in the hospitality industry, giving him a unique customer-service perspective that goes beyond the typical accountant's toolbox.

As ASIC Registered Agents we are authorised by registered Australian companies to submit documents to ASIC for lodgment, may receive notifications on behalf of the company and may provide other administrative services to businesses.

Our team comprises of Chartered Accountants and our firm is Certified Public Practice with the Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICAA). ICAA is the most respected professional body for accountants in Australia and New Zealand representing over 72,000 members.
