Winterwares manufactures and sells a range of ceramic homewares, handmade in Henry St Fremantle, Western Australia. Born from a desire to embrace a slower pace in life, Winterwares has grown to be one of Western Australia's most successful production studios for handmade ceramics. Simone employs a team of women to produce her range of bespoke, handcrafted dinnerware for restaurants and homes all across Australia.
The collection comprises of beautiful rustic plates, bowls, mugs and vases in soft whites with subtle flecks – it draws on the Japanese tradition of wabi-sabi, the muted beauty of imperfection as well as the Danish custom of hygge.
I began working with Atramentum seven years ago when I realised, I needed some advice to help manage the day-to-day operations of Winterwares Pty Ltd. Our journey has progressed over the years to venturing into the exciting world of commercial property ownership with Poets Harbour, our partnership with Atramentum has been instrumental in making our dreams a reality.
At Winterwares, we take immense pride in crafting bespoke, handcrafted dinnerware that adorns homes and restaurants across Australia. Michael has always been there to provide advice and act as a sounding board; from accounting and financial management to strategic planning, their expertise has been invaluable in helping us expand and thrive.
However, the journey didn't stop there. we knew we were embarking on a new adventure.
One of the pivotal moments in this journey was the acquisition of our commercial property on Henry Street, Fremantle, so that Winterware’s had its own retail space in the heart of Fremantle, . Atramentum's guidance in setting up a new trust for the property was not only expertly executed but also imbued with a genuine desire to see us succeed. Their team's meticulous attention to detail and unwavering support gave us the confidence to take this bold step, marking a significant milestone for both me personally and Winterwares.
This dream grew as the opportunity allowed for Poets Harbour, a bespoke Airbnb experience (Poets Harbour), to be located upstairs of the retail space. Atramentum guided us through navigating the setup of both businesses and Atramentum’s commitment to excellence allowed us to create a new home for Winterwares and a unique haven for guests seeking a truly immersive experience in our vibrant community.
